Pay Range: $40,000 – $60,000 (negotiable, commensurate with experience) 

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (flexible)

Position Overview

A local industrial manufacturing/processing operations company is seeking an experienced HR Manager to support their HR & Safety Director. This is a temporary-to-hire position, with expected conversion to regular full-time with the manufacturing company after 90 days.

This position involves payroll and benefits management, HR compliance, and employee performance support. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of HR experience, is detail-oriented, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and clear communication with employees and leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll and benefits administration
  • Process biweekly payroll using the Inova platform
  • Help ensure compliance with federal and state employment requirements
  • Assist in employee assessments and provide feedback aligned with KPI goals


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of HR experience required
  • Experience with payroll processing; familiarity with Inova is a plus
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Professional communication and a team-oriented attitude
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal safety regulations
  • OSHA Certification is preferred


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $40,000 – $60,000, commensurate with experience

Work Environment

The facility operates across multiple shifts, 5 days a week, with occasional Saturday operations, supporting a workforce of approximately 60 direct employees and 60+ staffing agency workers.

The selected candidate will be employed by Highland Group Professional Services, which serves as the employer of record for this position.
